Dear Trailer Residents and Cottagers of Stayner Camp!

Our Premier gave the go ahead to open parks and campgrounds as of Saturday May 16, 2020. While that is exciting we do want to communicate to you how Stayner Camp in consult with the Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit and our staff, will handle the immediate days of being open.

As of Saturday at 9 AM, all trailer owners and cottagers at Stayner Camp are able to use and stay at their units for the summer season. IF at some point, our provincial authorities feel the need to pull back due to increased COVID-19 community spread, we will let you know. See you Saturday, not Friday.

Here is what you can expect on Saturday May 16 on. You may use the time to do maintenance, repair and opening tasks on your unit. At the camp there will be no washrooms open, the shop will be closed, the playground is closed, the basketball court is closed, the campfire site closed and the main building is locked and closed. Staff will be on duty; we will have cell phone numbers posted on the lodge main doors. When you call us and we come, please step back and allow us that 6 feet of space.

Restrictions on gatherings: The rules regarding gathering that apply at your home will also apply at your trailer – no visitors, one family only on the trailer or cottage site. You are welcome to walk anywhere on the grounds, but please observe 6-foot distancing guidelines as you meet your friends and neighbours in your travels.

Due to the provincial activity restrictions that have been in place and the layoff of our staff team, we have not been able to get our grounds and facilities fully prepped for this time of the year. We appreciate your patience as we work to catch up! Water is on in all areas. Please bring all you need to work on and around your trailer or cottage. Picnic tables are not out yet.

We are delighted to be able to open the seasonal campground, and other areas of the camp will open as provincial restrictions allow. In all of this we have a good God who is watching and providing for this ministry and each of us. We look forward to seeing your family (from a distance of 6 feet!) soon!
