Carlamay Sheremata

Speaker

With over 20 years in law enforcement, Carlamay has served in various specialty units, bringing dedication and expertise to the profession. A passionate advocate for empowerment—especially for women—Carlamay has supported at-risk youth, newcomers, immigrants, colleagues, and others, fostering resilience and connection.

Her journey is one of perseverance, having overcome cancer, divorce, single parenthood, and the challenges of a PTSD diagnosis. Refusing to conform to societal expectations, she has forged her own path with purpose and determination.

Now retired from the Calgary Police Service, Carlamay has embarked on a new chapter as a keynote speaker and author. Her book seeks to bridge the generational gap, offering insight into the unspoken thoughts and desires of today’s youth, fostering deeper understanding and meaningful conversations.

With a background in psychology, sociology, and music, she enjoys singing and spending time with family. She believes that, no matter life’s challenges, everyone carries a light within them—one that deserves to shine.

Trevor Dick

Violinist

Trevor Dick is a popular electric and acoustic violinist, speaker, music missionary and founder/executive director of the music and arts mission organization, Flyingbow.

His playing evokes images of Jean Luc Ponty, Hugh Marsh, Mark O’Connor, and Mark Wood (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) all melded together. With such amazing versatility on his instruments, including the five-string electric violin, Trevor is a master at reaching any audience. He is mainly known as a solo artist, but has also played and toured with Paul Coleman (Newsboys), Robin Mark, Lynda Randal (Gaithers), Carolyn Arends, Amanda Cook and Geoff Moore. For eighteen years, Trevor previously acted as a Compassion Canada partner artist and actively promoted the cause of child poverty at his concerts. He and his band (the Trevor Dick Band) have been featured on national television programming such as 100 Huntley Street, Living Truth, KiTV and the Wav. File. Trevor has also served as an active artist partner and missionary with Gideons Canada / ShareWord Global.
