Jason McGill has spent the past 20 years serving in youth ministry in Collingwood, Ontario, helping young people discover their identity and purpose in Christ. He has led and staffed mission training schools across Canada, South America, and Africa, equipping the next generation to know God and make Him known.
Jason is married to his favourite person, his wife, Emily, and together they are raising four amazing kids, ages 7–16. While he loves adventure, missions, and seeing lives transformed by Jesus, he would say his greatest joy has been learning what it truly means to live as a beloved child of God—and helping others discover the same freedom and identity for themselves.
Instead of Silver has been leading worship and playing together for over 14 years, using their modern rock sound to boldly share the gospel of Jesus wherever they go. Whether it’s a worship service, a conference, or a full-on concert, IOS brings high energy, heartfelt lyrics, and a deep desire to see lives changed through Christ.
The band loves being part of REBOOT—it’s a highlight of their year! They don’t just show up to play; they show up to connect, worship, and hang out with students all weekend long. For IOS, it’s all about building relationships, creating moments of encounter, and making Jesus known in every way they can.
After each session, take time with your youth group to unpack the speaker’s message using the starter questions we’ll provide. These moments are a meaningful opportunity to go deeper in conversation, meet your students where they’re at, and grow together in faith.
There will be various sport opportunities over the weekend, including soccer and dodgeball tournaments. Tournaments registration will be open on the Friday night of the weekend, with games being held on Saturday. All skills levels welcome!
The Hub is the perfect spot to hang out this weekend! We’ve got ping pong, air hockey, board games, snacks for sale, and more. Bring your friends or come meet someone new—there’s something fun for everyone!
Be sure to bring cash so you can come grab a cold drink or a tasty snack from our tuck shop. PLUS, every night we will be BBQing delicious hot dogs and Dettweiler’s sausage with all the fixin’s!

The retreat is geared toward Jr. High students, so primarily grade 7 and 8 students. Some churches include grade 6 and/or 9 students in their Jr. High ministry as well, and these students are welcome to join their groups for the weekend!
Is there a minimum or maximum group size?
Nope! Feel free to bring one, two, ten, fifty, or one hundred students! There will be lots to do for individuals and groups of any size, and lots of people to meet and hang out with from youth groups across Ontario. Smaller groups may choose to partner up with another group and attend together.
You collect registration information and money from your students and then register and pay for your whole group with us. Churches and groups will need to create their own individual registration form and have each of their students attending REBOOT fill it in and obtain the necessary parent/guardian signatures. Please consult with your insurance and protection plan policies to know what to include in this form. You will want to have these forms with you at the event, but you will not be required to hand them in on arrival. We do ask that you include our media release in your registration process, as we may not be covered by your group’s media release. Once you have registered, you will receive a group information form for you to fill out and hand in to the office when you arrive at the retreat.
When should we arrive? When do we leave?
Group sign-in begins as early as 6:00 pm on Friday night. The first scheduled activity is the leaders meeting at 7:45, followed by session around 8:45. The last event on the schedule on Sunday is lunch at 12:30, so most groups will get on the road around 1pm.
Bring tents or even trailers and camp out for the weekend! Some cabins are also available for rent on a first-come first-served basis at a cost of $110 per cabin for the weekend
Food will be provided by our Kitchen team. After getting your food from the dining hall, you can eat outside. In the case of bad weather, we can set up the gym for eating as well.
No problem! Since the cost is per person, you can simply fill in another registration form and pay for the additional students, and then add those students to your info sheet that you will bring with you to the retreat.
No problem! Tickets are not attached to a specific person, so you can purchase what you think you will need. However, please note that tickets are non-refundable.
